Immigration Officer (IO) Overview
IO entry requires a degree with CRE UC/UE Level 1 or above or equivalent paths. Must pass PFT, BLNST, and speak fluent Cantonese and English. Application for IO closed on 30 Jun 2025; future cycles TBA.
Immigration Assistant (IA) Overview
IA recruitment is year-round until further notice. Duties include search, guard, escort, patrol, driving, and operational duties on immigration laws. Subject to discipline, uniform, shifts, possible work in an area outside the HKSAR.
Selection Process for IA
IA selection includes a Physical Fitness Test (sit-up, squat thrust, shuttle run, standing long jump, 800m run; pass requires at least 1 point each and total ≥15), syndicate discussion, and selection interview.
Preparation Tips
For PFT, train specifically for the IA items. For syndicate discussion, practice group interaction on current affairs. For interview, research immigration policies and operational scenarios.

- Pass the BLNST (Degree/Professional Level) if not done.
