Duties and Work Conditions

Entry Requirements
Level 2 or equivalent in five HKDSE subjects including Chinese and English, or equivalent. Must be fluent in Cantonese, pass eyesight test, Physical Fitness Test, Job-related Performance Test, Written Aptitude Test, and BLNST.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
The PFT from 1 Dec 2023 includes Yo-Yo Endurance Test, pronated or inclined chin-up, vertical jump, parallel bar dip, and other items. Check FSD PFT page for detailed standards: https://www.hkfsd.gov.hk/eng/recruitment/recruit/f_function_strength.html. Failing any item ends the assessment.
Preparation
Regularly train for cardiovascular endurance and upper body strength. Practice the specific test items. Review basic numerical and reasoning skills for the written test. Schedule the BLNST early.
